New House New Baby

Hi everybody.
We have an expression in the UK, and it may also exist elsewhere in the world, so I dont want to alienate myself from readers by thinking its only a UK thing. 'new house, new baby', So when people move, usually aimed at youngsters I must admit (but I hasten to add, I'm not past it yet), buy a new house and have a baby. Well our house purchase exchanged while we were on holiday and completed the day after we returned so we were busy moving house recently, and yes, we have a new baby, it arrives on September 1st, it will be a lively nice shiny phantom blue Mazda 6, 2.0 ltr turbo deisel just like the one pictured below.
Well the house is coming on a treat, it was a right shit hole when we arrived, and the woman had the nerve to tell us as she walked out the door, 'its not as clean as I would have liked' Well fuck me, it took us four thats 4 days to clean the place properly. We still havent removed all the grime in the kitchen, but we're getting there slowly. I had to decorate the airing cupboard as 'she who must be obeyed' - quote from Rumpole of the Bailey' wouldnt put anything in there as it was so disgusting. So thats one room completed. We are now working on my daughters room, basically were throwing magnolia emulsion everywhere just to get it clean and so we can say this is OUR home. We have already approached some builders to design our extensions, so things are moving along nicely again. Work is a big interference as my friend is not always well enough to work, and I am covering for both of us as he cant travel, so that is making for long days and not much time to get the house sorted out, well at least we have a bank holiday coming up, so we can spend three days working on the place. Must go for now, and hope to post some more in the next few days.
