We're Away, Yippie !!

At long last, we are away on holiday for a few weeks, going off to sunny Orlando to see Mickey and his friends, but hopefully not any of those nasty alligators (well except those at Gatorland perhaps). We have rented a town house and hired a large car and as they only drive automatics, I can see me having some issues when I get back to drive my 'stick shift' (manual) car, and also having to deal with round a bouts agian.

This blog wont be updated for a while, the misses wont take too kindy to me being in an internet cafe doing blog stuff, when I should be relaxing. So. sun lounger and large Bacardi and coke, here I come.

I will update again once I am home, and tell ya'll what we did.

Film Editor Extraordinaire

Well this afternoon, I have been editing my video footage of the Silverstone Classic Cars of last weekend, its nothing special you understand, but does serve to preserve the memories of that fantastic day. Yes at my great age, the memory needs all the help it can get, just wish I could use the excuse some of my friends have, in that it was from doing too much 'blow' when I was younger !
Anyway, I must go and do the shopping whilst the PC is processing all that footage and burning the DVD.

Silverstone 31st July 2005 - Classic Cars Event

Well we went to Slverstone and saw all the old classic racers last weekend. A great day out, and even caught a little sun, well probably wind more than sun. I came home a little on the red side, never go brown straight off, its always red, then it falls off and I'm back to white again.

The programme of races included:
1. FIA Grand Prix Cars World Championship featuring Ferrari, Lotus, Williams, Tyrell, Brabham, McLaren, Arrows, Cooper, March and more.
2. Group C Sportscars from the world of Le Mans. The race will include cars from Jaguar, Porsche, Aston Martin, Ford, Chevrolet and more.
3. BRDC 500 - A special recreation of the original BRDC 500 Mile Race for pre-war sportcars.
4. BRDC Historic Sportscar Championship for 1950's and 1960's cars including Jaguar, Maserati, Cooper, Lotus, Lister and Lola.
5. HGPCA Grand Prix Cars - Cars from 1930's to 1960's front engine Grand Prix cars from Alfa Romeo, Bugatti, Maserati, Ferrari, and many more.
6. Grand Prix Masters Formula One - A unique assembly of 1966 to 1978 Grand Prix cars from Williams, BRM, McLaren, Hesketh, Wolf, Surtees and many more.

I have some video of the day which I am in the process of editing, not sure what it will look like, those cars go pretty damn fast so it will possibly just be all blurred.
